St Fagans National Museum of History

The infamous open-air museum is a unique heritage site which opened in 1948. I led the redesign of the three permanent galleries. Wales is… explores questions of identity, through definitions inspired by the social history collection. Visitors are invited to participate in building the stories by adding opinions into the displays.  Life is… portrays different facets of people’s daily experiences, from hard work to fun holidays to our inevitable departure. Gweithdy a new sustainable building celebrates the skills of makers and encourages visitors to experience traditional skills first-hand. This gallery features playful large scale illustrations which seek to inspire the imagination.
